I’ve just come back from the desert and another fantastic California Alarm Association convention in Palm Springs. I had the pleasure of presenting a workshop, Developing Sales Superstars, to support sales leaders in producing sales teams of 100% top performers. It’s possible!
The biggest benefit of the convention, as always, was the ability to network with all the terrific movers and shakers of our industry. While the event is certainly fun, and I love being able to see everyone in person again, the value of networking can’t be underestimated. We stay in touch through social media, video calls and emails, but working together in person, and simply being with each other, allows us to catch up, hear about what’s new, and learn the best ways to support each other.
In an organization filled with competitors of many kinds, I find it so rewarding that this group of people work together for the betterment of the electronic security industry and each other. The camaraderie, encouragement, and promotion for everyone makes for a strong industry, strong relationships, and at the end of the day, the best for all of our customers and clients.
I’m proud to be a part of it.
